My husband and I had a horrible experience at this store. I had purchased a dining chair and after seeing it with my dining table I tried to phone the store to see if I could buy a full set. After 7 days of calling with no one ever picking up I tried emailing but never received a response. I called head office to ask if they were available from the Southport store I could pick up but they also could not tell me if I was able to and they could not get in contact with the store. We thought it best to just return the chair and go somewhere else. On Sunday the 19 Feb we attended the Southport store. The sales assistand and male manager were at the desk and I let them know I had wanted to get the set but could not get onto them by phone. Both of them went on the defense in a manner that left us so shocked, I had to let them know I wasnt trying to argue by my comment it was to provied the feedback needed to sort out the problem with their phone situation. We visited the Freedom Southport store on Ferry Road in January and were greeted by Danielle who showed us what was available that may suit our new apartment. We saw just what we wanted and Danielle, along with Rebecca and Michelle, placed all our orders and managed the deliveries. We were kept up to date with everything and every time we visited the store were warmly greeted by everybody.
We would definitely recommend Freedom Southport as a great place to get ideas on the latest furniture trends and also be guided by the friendly staff who work there on what they feel would suit your requirements.
I went here specifically to purchase several items, no staff were available to help, we waited to speak to a staff memebr but they were all too busy, one was filing her nails in the kitchen area!!! Poor customer service... I will not shop at this store again!!!!!
I wander around here at least once a month to keep myself updated with the latest in furnishings. My latest purchase was a leather lounge suite which I am more than happy with. The staff are always friendly and helpful however I did have trouble with them telling me my lounge would be delivered on a particular date so I immediately got rid of my old lounge the day before delivery only to be phoned the next day to be told that my new lounge wouldn't be able for 4 more weeks - as it turned out just when I would be away for a month. Not happy Jan! Friends have since told me that this is common practice for Freedom Furniture and that is why some of them don't shop there any more. After putting some pressure on them I ended up getting my longe suite within 2 weeks but for that 2 weeks I wasn't impressed as I am not a slim person and getting in and out of a bean bag was not a pretty sight! Having said all that I will continue to do my monthly strolls through the store.
