The Pinhole Effect is an optometry practice and eyewear retail store.

We specialise in contact lenses, Ortho-K night contact lenses, dry eye assessment and treatment, prescribing PBS eye drops, treating red eyes such as conjunctivitis and inflammatory anterior eye conditions. We also co-manage with GPs and Ophthalmologist on Glaucoma, Diabetes, post-lasik surgery, Age-related Macular Conditions and Cataracts.

Eye exams are easyclaimed with on the spot rebates from medicare. All health funds are acceptable. Call us for an appointment and emergency walk-ins are available most days.

Our eyewear brands are sourced from around the world including Barton Perriera, Victory, Thierry Lasry, Salt, LGR, Anne et Valentin, Oliver Goldsmith and more. Please check our facebook page or website page for new and current models. Each brand is selected for their uniqueness, colour, quality, history, creative design and character. Frame stocks are kept low to maintain a level of exclusivity, however special frame orders can also be requested.

To match the quality of the frames we only select premium lenses that are polished with diamond coated finishes and for those with high scripts. We have the "world's thinnest lenses of 1.76" (highest refractive index than any other store in Adelaide) giving you the best optical appearance in your chosen frames, and are available for optical sunglasses, progressive lenses and single vision lenses.

One inhouse specialty is our custom flip polarised clip-on sunglasses which are made to fit to any frames with a wide range of colour tint to choose from.
