Girl with Gris Gris is known for it's funky and American soul food atmosphere and food. I've come here at lunch with work colleagues and was pleasantly surprised by the offerings. I came here on a Wednesday night for dinner and ordered the Jambalaya (cooked to perfection) and had the New Orleans Bread Pudding - deliciously with cinnamon, whole pecans and a whiskey custard). The live music they have on at times is a massive plus. I think service could have been a bit quicker.
Unique, funky and very different type of menu that i have ever seen. New Orleans style which makes me want to visit New Orleans if this is the type of food they are serving there. I had to read the detailed description of the dish to understand what it is all about but with the help of the friendly waiters and recommendations made it a whole lot easier to order. Each serving is quite small but to share with another person is fine if you order a fair few dishes as though it was tasting plates to share. My favourite is the pulled pork roll. I'm a big lover of pulled pork and Gris Gris BBQ pulled pork was so good with the coleslaw. Now that you can order on your own as a main, do not share as you would want every piece of it. Definitely worth a try of New Orleans menu as you wont be disappointed.
