my family are camping here I'm working night duty but thought I'd drive there to visit them stay for dinner then go to work. wish I'd never bothered got stopped entering the drive told to read the signs strict 5k signs or I'd have to leave visitors can only stay an hour and asked to leave!
Put me in such a bad mood felt like I was in big brother being watched! Didn't enjoy my time with the family clock watching, my hubby had the same run down upon entering felt like there was 101 rules one of them no loud kids! Or you will be asked to leave. They Only staying one night can't wait to get home has to be off by 10 am anyway or he will track you down to pay for an extra day. Apparently he quite often calls people if they leave after this time to request an extra day payment and even traced where they work and called their bosses??
We stayed at this camping grounds recently - what an interesting place. It started with the warning signs (5km per hour OR ELSE) on the entry driveway. Not that you could do much more due to the big ditches in the driveway.
It continued with being directed to the incorrect camping space - we'd booked with a group, and he directed us to a completely different spot to where another member of our group had already set up. Had I not have noticed them in this different area in the camp ground, we could well have set up before we realised they had already arrived.
Don't get me started on the campfire set up. It advertises communal campfires - there is nowhere near enough (5) to cater for the amount of camping ...read more
The grounds are nice enough, the amenities are very basic. Found it to be a bit expensive compared to other sites and what facilities there are. We found the owner on one day was very helpful, however on another day seemed to be very rude, including driving one member of our group away.
With the Glass House Mountains as a backdrop, this is a lovely place to stay. Toilets and showers are clean. Washing machine available and only $3. Plenty of parking area on the grass. Well presented and good value for your money. Steve the owner, went out of his way to help us. A true Aussie. Thanks Steve - all good. 5 Stars
Very basic camping grounds. They use chlorinated bore water for the showers and toilet water which was a big downer for me. Hey but it's cheap! You can't have a fire, but they have a large fireplace. They have drinking water in a tank onsite. The stars here are wonderful. The management of the park, holds the world record for the number of horses controlled whilst on a chariot. 2 stars.
