I am generally not a lover of Gloria Jeans - like Belinda.H mentioned below, there are always smaller, locally run cafes that are worth supporting. But as far as a chain goes, this place makes a great coffee. If you get a chance to get a coffee in the morning, you may bump into the owners, which will potentially give the place a bit of a "locally run cafe" feel to it, rather than just another notch on the GJ's belt.
I was out at Penrith to catch up with a girlfriend and I was running a little early so had about 30 mins to kill. So I grabbed a coffee and sandwich at this Gloria Jeans. Usually I refuse to visit Gloria Jeans' on principle and you can get better coffee from some small locally owned cafes. At the time I was there, there were very few choices so I had to suck it up and give it a go. My experience here wasn't entirely wretched. The girl who served me was friendly and attentive.
