Cost me around $700 to have my power steering ruined.
Took car back and they still didnt fix properly, tho they did charge me extra.

I have been there a number of times and was happy to deal with Braiden. I got a quote for a service which seemed very high. I went to another local mechanic for a quote and he was half the price. Given that he has a reputation for over charging I'm surprised he's still operating.

Always good to get feedback positive or negative to help us improve. I would appreciate if you could show me the quotes you received from our business and also the invoice you recieved detailing from your new chosen repairer what services were performed for your hard earned money .
There are many reasons for variations in quoting on service work . As you mentioned you have used our services many times and was happy , so I would hope you would give us a chance to clarify the difference in your quotes.

My quote from GH was over the phone, after my car had been inspected. I was quoted $330 for the exact same job at anther auto repairer and I was detailed with what I said needed to be done as part of my service, to ensure it matched what GH had said. My second quote did not undercut because they didn't know the GH quote to begin with. That amount of difference is huge and in the 40 odd years of owning a car, I have never had to pay that much for a standard service. I am not confrontational, I am savvy with the work I get done and I am loyal to those whom I commission to do that work. I have no time to get work clarified, to potentially end up with the same price because I am not a mechanic and I rely on those who know that they are doing to be fair and just. I felt conned and when I feel like I am being conned, I go somewhere else because I can. Lucky me.

You have no time for clarity then it appears we can not solve the problem. Your feedback is appreciated. Maybe at some point we could try again for you , a written quote would be the best way forward.

Found the owner to be arrogant and condescending. His assistant took the car for a test drive with me to help find a fault and when we returned the owner was cranky that we had taken too long and this was costing him money. Very poor customer service. I will not return.

Do not take your car here for a quote got charged $95for them to have a look and tell me what the noise in My car was it turned out to be something much more expensive than I thought so have to wait to do repair , but on return to get my car was charged $95 for the look when asked was told I don't work for nothing ....never been charged for a look before

Hello Suz ric.
Would you please contact me to give details of your experience. I would like to check my jobcards records to see time spent on your car diagnosing the fault. In this trade we need to spend time diagnosing problems before we can give prices of the repair needed. This time needs to be charged as of course staff don,t work for nothing . We regulary give 5 or 10 minutes away for free , however we need to charge for quotes in some instances.
Im new to online comments so I have not been aware to respond to your needs.

Don't take the risk. They won't take any responsibility for poor workmanship or damage. Got burned. Rang to make sure they could do the type of work I needed first. Work done by inexperienced mechanic. Damage done. Management backed worker, won't take any responsibility. Without my car now until another part is sourced. Not worth the hassle and they make you out to be in the wrong.
