A lovely country pub. It's nice to see them taking advantage of beautiful local produce, sourced from in and around the Adelaide Hills. The staff are friendly and eager to please. A warm and friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal pub to come in for a quiet drink or a delicious meal. Ssshhh though! Don't tell everyone!
Fantastic little pub and restaurant in the hills. Food was truly outstanding. Service was friendly and expert, we had a lovely time. Interesting menu, open fires, warm and inviting. Loved it. Very busy though. Not many of these beaut little country places left in Adelaide hills. Highly recommended.
Finally a little country pub that lives up to my expectations. A beautiful little place run by a friendly couple who obviouslly take a lot of pride in their establishment. Its warm and welcoming and the food is excellent. One more thing, they seem to have rediscovered the art of pouring Coopers Pale Ale on tap, finally tastes like it should!
Our visit for a leisurely lunch to the Hagen Arms Hotel Echunga on the P/H Monday after a lovely 2 hours drive in the hills was met with disappointment. We ordered a $35 bottle of Langhorne Creek red wine and were given very small cheap wine glasses that looked like a sherry glass.. after drinking the bottle and not being able to taste the local wine at its best we ordered another bottle of $35 red wine and asked if we could please have 4 bigger wine glasses. We were told a definate no!! when challenged were were told that bigger glasses were for more expensive wines... shocked we asked for the wine menu to change the order to a cheaper bottle of wine.. we were then TOTALLY IGNORED & NO MORE SERVICE was given to us... therefore did not order any more wine and we had no dessert. Absolutely shocked with the sulky attitude of the staff and the "stop service" We paid butread more
