Shop with Confidence? I think not. Long story short, I'll NEVER go back to HN Cairns again. If I could give a zero star rating I would. After being a long-standing customer of HN Cairns, who had returned time and again for appliances and furniture, I will never go back unless they decide to make right, the situation with me. I bought a coffee machine, after about a month it stopped working properly. I took it back and they fiddled around with it and assured me it was now working. I took it home and after a few days decided it definitely wasn't fixed yet. I took it back a second time, this time, politely saying that I would like not to have to take it home again until it's fixed please. So they logged a job with the service centre. The next day HN Cairns called me saying that the settings were not right and that was why it wasn't working. They had adjusted all the settings and assured me that it was working fine. We bought an AEG washing machine and dryer at Harvey Norman. We got great help and service from Craig. Craig was professional, efficient and friendly. We arrived as the store was closing. He stayed back to help us. We bought the machines late that evening and they were delivered and installed next morning by 10.30 am. That is service plus. Thank you, Craig.
Very poor service from the computer store and tech Dept.purchased a new laptop on Monday and paid for a technician to load Office and Antivirus software. Picked up computer Wednesday and told everything is in the box, got to the car and checked, missing items, back to the store and missing items located. Drove off and started laptop 2 hrs down the road to discover that the supplied password for our login did not work, drove back to the store next day and found password had been entered incorrectly by technician, also advised tech that antivirus software was setup with incorrect email address, tested office package and appeared to work correctly only to discover when we got home that office software was never correctly activated at the store so we could not finalise activation of the product, after a few phone calls office issue resolved. The service at the Cairns store is absolutely horrible. The the assurances and warranties provided by this store are absolutely misleading and not helpful at all. we have previouysly purchased many items from this store computers mobile phones etc. the franchisee himself has promised to look into a customer complaint but having provided him with the relevant information as requested never heard or had a response from him in this matter. This appears to be the general feeling and views of many other people too who have spoken with us on similar matters. the after sales service in particular is way below parr and will not recoomend any one to get fooled by their false promises to look after customers after a purchase has been made from this store. We have a lot of experience in dealing with customer serive matters and have had not only verbal but written responses from Regional Managers, Business managers etc who have taken the time to fully investigateread more
I agree with you on the after-sales lack of service. Thank you for sharing your experience, I have shared mine too due to the same problem and I think people deserve to know that once they were pretty good, but not any more. Something's changed and I'll never go back unless they decide to make my situation right, which I doubt they will, so yeah... won't go back.
There is no service from the electrical department AT ALL. We have purchased many thousands of dollars of furniture, outdoor, electrical and computing from Harvey Norman Cairns, the most recent a lemon dishwasher by Ariston. The thing never dried a dish from day 1, and after 2 service calls and mana, many emails they finally agreed to give us a credit. Thats where it ended over a month ago. The franchisee or 2IC has since then stopped answering my emails, and wont return my calls. Obviously I am not alone here with terrible after sales support. Will never ever buy from this establishment again.
Bought a longe a few years ago had a problem with it and even though out of warranty I was looked after in an excellent professional manner and the franchisee helped me personally to reach an anacable outcome. I can not recommend this store enough you certainly can buy with confidence and thank you Daniel for all your help above and beyond what I would have expected. I will be back to your store as soon as I need anything again. It's refreshing to get such great service once again thank you.
