A fabulous cottage, totally renovated, with class and comfort in mind, situated in the heart of town and close to all amenities. You need to bring linen or they can arrange it for you. This holiday destination will have you talking for a year, or at least until you have to come back for another unique holiday experience. Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest is surrounded by one ocean beach, a river and the bay of Port Stephens. The cottage is pet friendly and your family and pets will love the cottage which is just two minutes walk down to the magnificent waterfront. Enjoy alfresco dining, cafes, restaurants, dolphin watch cruises and ferry to Nelson Bay. Wide access to the fenced rear yard with plenty of room for the boat or caravan.
Terrible. The house wasn't at all like the images advertised online (we stayed on Beach Road). When we arrived we were told that there had been a water leak - the entire place smelt musty and damp and the living room carpet was wet through with a small fan blowing on it. Without any offer of another house to stay in, or a refund of rent, and with the landlord and builders coming through twice during our stay (even though efforts to fix the problem obviously weren't going to be happening while we were there - so why should be endure the builder?), I eventually called the real estate to ask if we could be compensated in some way. They said they'd sent a $50 cheque in the mail (rent was $500 for 5days), and three months later, I'm doubtful that it will ever turn up. Absolutely disgusting house, especially when you suffer from any kind of allergies or asthma, and really spoiled our trip. We ended up just leaving early. The bed pillows and duvet were alsoread more
Had a holiday rental from here, the booking process was incredibly easy online - surprising for a small company in a small town, kudos to them. When I arrived, staff were v friendly & helpful, and property was sparkling clean and just as described. Easily given a late checkout (off season Sunday), which was good as 9.30am would have been a bit too early to leave I think. Highly recommended.
