Unreliable salon, I turned up and was told I was not booked in? (the appointment was made 3 months ago) they accomodated me but I had to go to their other salon. Had full head foils, cut & blowdry and when I tied my hair up there were no foils to be seen underneath! When i washed my hair and blowdried it towards my face I had a big hole on each side. They employ hairdresser's from India who told me the salon dosn't pay penalty rates (these hairdresser's are clearly not exeprienced). I decided to give them another go but wanted to try another hairdreseer, when calling to confirm my appointment this time they wanted to change the time of the appointment telling me the hairdresser I have dosn't start at that time? Lucky I called I would have turned up and have had to wait! Again not happy with the colour, asked for a ash blonde and got a light honey colour. This salon is OVERRATED looks all fancy being in Balwyn but clearly NO TALENT. DONT WASTE YOURread more
Went to the Bourke St salon approx 6 months ago. I wanted honey brown with blonde highlights and the results weren’t terrible but was not what I wanted. I went back approx a week later and the stylist turned my hair red! I returned to the salon approx. 2 weeks later for a correction with a more senior stylist which improved my hair but she advised couldn’t achieve the colour I wanted without my hair beinv severely damaged due to the amount of colour in such a short space of time so I would have to wait about 2 months or so. An app was scheduled in nov 2017 however due to the condition of my hair I requested to reschedule and to give my hair a break. Due to my full time job and the stylist being on holiday in jan an app wasn’t scheduled till feb 2018. I returned and the salon attempted to charge me $700 to get the honey colour I wanted. The manager called me ‘rude’ for asking for a discount and said she did not hear from me despite the fact I rescheduledread more
I had the best experience at the camberwell salon. They open late Wednesday’s and Thursdays which is perfect for someone working full time. The staff were all super friendly and the customer service was fantastic. I really like my colour and it’s exactly what I asked for :) I will definitely be going back
I have had the worst experience with hair colour at Balwyn North salon.
Worst colour and scalp burnt. Charged me $400 for destroying my hair. Then won’t tefund but want me to trust them again!! No way would l trust any of them to touch my hair.
You ask for a senior colourist and get walk out crying. To top it off ask for dead straight blow wave but get told no we will add bounce it’s nicer. Although they were all very polite and friendly at the time. When l demanded a call by owner had to wait over a day for a response.
Disappointment is an understatement
Staff were lovely at Balwyn and very accommodating but i was really disappointed with the results. My hair has never been so unhealthy, my fringe literally looks like it's been singed and the colour looks stripey as its taken to the roots but not to the rest of my hair. I had to purchase an at home toner to fix it. This salon is extremely expensive and provides a great experience while there (i was offered tea/coffee and even a glass of prosecco!) but without skilled hairdressers its all for nothing in my opinion.
