If you've ever been to Italy, you will recognise the authentic, wholesome, uncomplicated but tasty dishes served at Hideaway Trattoria. The servings are generous and all the food is freshly prepared on site, including a range of delicious desserts. It's a friendly, low key place without the noise and hype of more expensive places nearby. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, Mike the host will even take your photo if you like..
Hideaway Trattoria needs to be hidden away from people. The service was terrible- they only know one descriptive noun, and staff don't talk when they approach your table, they assume you know what they want. Atmosphere was depressing, tables clad in plastic and walls clad in grey. No alcohol on site. Menu was unimaginative and childish, the term "fizzy drinks" was used. Food average at best. They don't know how to cook steak or bchamel. However there were 16 desserts on the dessert list. That would have been exciting had I not been turned off by everything else.
