Very cool interior styling and the front window is brilliant, that's what truly draws you in. The menu is small but sufficient. I had the porridge and it was very nice, smooth but sweet with crunchy nuts on top. Service was a little slow, but all staff members were polite.
Finally got to tick this place off my list! Got in around midday on a Sunday and there wasn't much of a line. We were prob behind 4 groups. Waiting just under 10 mins and we got a seat! Love the window display of all the sweet desserts on offer. To start we ordered the mixed ribbon sandwiches plate with salmon, salad, beef and chicken. Then onto the Chocolate and strawberry swiss roll with 2 x teas came to $40.15. Overall, it was ok. Loved the vanilla tea i got.
It does not matter what time of the day you turn up, you will always end up in a queue to get into this very popular tea house. The cake display is absolutely awesome and you cant help but stop and admire the cakes and pastries in the window. Once you get a table to service is speedy and friendly, the teas and coffees are nice, but most people really go there for the cakes. I tried the Pistachio and Raspberry Cheese cake which was very nice and my friend loved the Lemon Merengue. I personally found the tables and chairs in the venue too jam packed and you had absolutely no privacy to chat or relax, however the cakes are nice.
