Had a call from this lot asking for the mother inlaw by name with a simple "is xxx there?". I answered "no she is not but I'd to say it is polite and professional to introduce yourself first in a call". I got as far as like and heard the boop boop hang up tone. Now chasing them to leave a formal complaint.
I received an unsolicited telephone call by a very pushy sales person who said that they got my contact details from an "online survey", and would not take no for an answer until they got a sale. After some heated discussion, where they unsuccessfully tried to get my credit card details, said that they would send the first instalment of the Weapons of War series to me on approval only for the cost of the postage. I refused to pay the postage costs as I did not feel comfortable with the company knowing my credit card details. As they already had my name and address details, the item duly arrived in the mail.
Having not agreed to this purchase, I did not open the item, as I waited to be contacted by the company in due course. Subsequent items arrived, a total ...read more
NEVER give your CC details to any pushy sales people. NEVER settle for a product you never ordered.
They ring and make offers and want credit card details. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR
CREDIT CARD DETAILS!!!!!!.
I was happy to pay the $9.99 P&H but then sent the so called first free volume back-absolute rubbish.
They then keep sending volumes and I get demands for payment of $174. Dream on! I paid their $9.99 by B-pay and told them to pick up the 3 volumes sitting unopened where they were delivered-not wanted overpriced products! Not my problem.
Their overseas collections call centre keeps calling and I tell them same message, but they just don't get it.
Their customers service then offers to settle for $100. What do you not understand I ask them? Still they persist! Show me an agreement or contract! Do not deal with them.
After several months, finally got an email acknowledging the account is cancelled, don't want their unwanted books back and $0 balance owing. They use scare tactics with people by sending letters and making call]s with demands. Call their bluff and persist.
A win for the little guy and, best of all, I am sure I won't be on their call list anymore.
Not sure exactly where they get your number from but the call offering free goods, but ask you to pay for postage. In my case they did not ask for payment up front. They said I can pay for the goods after I receive them. Presumably once you have the goods its that much more difficult to back out of the whole deal. don't interact with this company.
Misleading advertising material left me paying for extras I did not want! Initially I took up a once-off-offer to pay only for postage to receive some Gardening Made Easy cards. The letter from IMP said they would continue to send me material every 3 weeks however failed to inform me that each of these subsequent mailouts would cost MORE each time. When I receieved the second mailout I called to cancel and the customer service person was defensive and wouldn't reverse the charge on my credit card saying that I had been 'told' that they would be deducting money from my account. ...read more
