Winner of the 2008 Time Out Sydney Bar Awards, the ivy bar is an urbane and elegant playground for Sydney-siders. The world class design offers intimate corners for private chats, and plenty of space for one to showcase their dancing skills. While socialising you may find yourself in the mood for a tasty offering from their Peter-Doyle designed gourmet menu, be it salads, pastas, burgers, New-York style grill or seafood. The ivy bar has fast become somewhat of an institution among Sydney-siders.
Good place for a drink in the CBD. Its generally open late too which is a plus. I'd avoid Fri-weekend just due to the crowd factor, but a good place to go. Only draw back is the air of arrogance from some of the staff that work here. But that aside worth a visit.
Let me begin by saying, I love Kanye West. I do. But, he is arrogant and some of his tracks are awful and he can be very overrated.
That is exactly how I would describe The Ivy if it were a person. The Ivy is the Kanye West of clubs.
SURE! It can be heaps cool, it's constantly trending, it has this sweet rep and likes to fancy itself classy-cool fun, exciting and upper classread more
