The job and response was ok but the price this company charges is legalised robbery. very expensive call out fee and worse than that how they quote to replace my hot water system ($700-$800 per hour??? - even medical surgery not charging this price) close to 5000$. I think the government needed to regulate how they charge the customers. Taking advantage of resident desperately needed to get plumming fixed.
Was told $70 to book an appointment, $49 per 15 mins to address my blocked sewer. Cannot provide a quote. Prepaid $128. Plumber arrives onsite opens his booklet and says fixed fee $490 up to an hour, $128 is credited. He refused to work for each 15min interval as per booking. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY, how can a company back you into a corner when it knows the cost to clear a blockage. 15 min job $490. Then have the nerve to quote me $2340 to relay 10m of water service pipeline to the meter.
Poor service quality with much more expensive charge than normal level in industry. Neve find them if you can!! Such a bad and unprofessional service.
We found them to fix the leaking heater, they asked us to change a new one, which is $2000 more expensive than other suppliers, ridiculous. We refuesed once we know the price is extremely higher than other providers, however, they were saying that they already unpacked the product and force us to buy it! At last, gave us a small discount.
Weeks later, roof leaking, the spot is the heater pipe's location, then we call them to check if some fixing issues for new heater. They came really quick, but denied, saying not their problem and charged another $185!!!! Such a nonsense!!! Never never never use this one if you can!!
Living in Melbourne's West, I called Jim's plumbing as I had a leaking toilet and it wasn't flushing properly. The plumber came in and had a look and said he could fix the leak for $400. After about 5 minutes, all he did was put epoxy around the leak. I then asked him for more work as I was going to get charged 400. He then look at the other toilet in the house and said he will replace the flush pipe rubber. When he replaced it he broke the screw that it's attached to and said it was bound to happen because it's old. He then covered it with epoxy. The whole job took him about 30 mins and then he left. I called up Jim's plumbing with a complaint and received a small refund.
Word of advice, DO NOT use Jim's plumbing. Better off to use a local plumber but wary of how much they charge you. If the job only takes less than 10 mins to complete they shouldnt be charging more than $150. But I repeat, DO NOT use Jim's plumbing
