Kam Fook Seafood Restaurant was opened following the success of a restaurant bearing the same name in Chatswood. The restaurant is renowned for its yum cha which runs from 10:00am-3:00pm daily. Kam Fook also acts as a restaurant where you can order a variety of Cantonese-style entrees, rice dishes and main courses such as the sizzling spicy king prawn. This seafood dish is a favourite amongst patrons.

What a horrible way to have spent Fathers Day for my husband. This place was disastrous!!! Took 15 mins before we even saw a food trolley for yum cha. The yum cha choices were limited just dumplings and some squid which we were lucky to get the last of. Understaffed not enough food nor variety. We were there for 12.30pm and the mango pancakes were already sold out!!! People were getting up with their card to be stamped to go find trolleys with food in them. Poor family of mum, dad and two children were sat in the back and the dad got up three times to ask if the trolleys could go past his table. After 2 hours we left without even seeing half the food. Staff were unfriendly without even answering you when you asked a question. We will never return and will warn people every chance we get. As we were walking out my husband noticed that the name had changed to King Fook instead af Kam Fook - just wondering if there has been a chance of hand.- could explain a few things.
Kam Fook is not just for yum cha during the day. We decided to visit on a Saturday evening recently. It was quiet, perhaps their patrons were still away on holidays. The menus were a bit tattered and old (not in line with the overall quality of this restaurant) but I was quite taken aback by the number of dishes they offer. From experience, too many menu items meant that the kitchen can be disorganised and foodstuff less than premium condition. However, this was not the case when our food came. Table service was a little disappointing due to seemingly inexperienced waitstaff but the head waiter was good help and saved the day. The waitstaff had spilled sauce from a dishread more
