We have just used Kent storage to move a number of items from Sydney to Perth and our experience was just woeful.
We had a number of very expensive paintings that needed to be transported as well as a number of antique pieces of furniture. We have requested a number of these paintings to be professionally crated in 'art crates', which we paid extra money for, guess what they were just chucked in the back of the truck and delivered not even wrapped.read more
Our recent experience with Kent was not a positive one. We moved from Perth to Cairns and it started off well because the estimator was a nice guy and did a good job but it went downhill from there. The guys doing the uplift caused plenty of damage with their shoddy and rough packing techniques. We sustained heaps of damage to our furniture: Drawers were broken, filing cabinets ruined, our favourite bookshelf was destroyed and so was the sofa and nuts and bolts were lost in transit. Then on the unpack the guys ruined our furniture even more. Their excessive sweating mixed with dust and left black marks on all of our white furniture which has now stained. The communication standard from the Kent relocations and insurance team was poor to say the least. My calls were never returned and emails were addressed only after a week.
I'd never use Kent again and i'll be sure to pass on the details of my experience to anyone who asks me about it.
