took my 89 year old mother to Emergency at Knox and cannot speak more highly of the care and attention. thank you Paula Ashlea Sam and Royden you are very caring professional employees. my mum has now been admitted and is continuing to obtain strong medication to ease her pain. very friendly staff.
This hospital lacks any decent policies or procedures. Elderly patients are give little respect and kept in the dark regarding their treatment, the family had to constantly nag at the nurses to find anything out. My mother had two ops there and each time had staff (doctor and nurse) stand at her bedside and not even introduce themselves or speak to her! No one knew what was going on! If you are not demanding you get little attention. We had to remind staff mum had not received her medications and one was even given 8hrs late (this one is every 3 days) their excuse, waiting on doc to write up, even though I had bought it in with mum and was on her medication profile. She had been in the hospital 3 days at this time.

We started with the first surgery being delayed because nursing staff had failed to let Mum know that it had been scheduled for the next morning ( the surgeon had reorganised his schedule to fit Mum in , he was not impressed either ) . Issuing of medication was always difficult because Mum has a list which they had difficulty following . After mums second bout of serious surgery a week later they left her unattended in the shower for 45 minutes and noread more
