La Porchetta Restaurant
I haven't been to a La Porchetta for ages and swore to never come back to any since my bad experience from the sunshine location. However a friend wanted to catchup at this one and said it wasn't too bad. We didn't make any reservations as it was 5pm on a Wednesday thinking it would not be busy and it wasn't so there was plenty of tables, majority of which did not have a reserve sign so we requested to sit near a window only because i had my son with me and thought a distraction of things happening outside the window would be good. There were at least 10 tables seating 2 along the window side empty however the staff said its all reserved. I looked around the rest of the restaurant and there was no-one in there, only another family there. There were no reserve sign on those tables so i didn't understand. The restaurant use to be good before it moved about 7 years ago. Now it's downhill; they served us a jug of flat coke to start, when we said something to the staff they said yeah we have been having problems with it (then why serve it?) we had to change it to two bottles.
I wanted to have wedges as a side with my Parma instead of chips they said no, I offered to pay a few $$ extra to make up the difference and they said no so I had to have a side of chips and order a separate bowl of wedges which was $7 something. How could I eat that much!?
My husband then got his caprichosa pizza and it was inedible. Not much cheese looked like it had been sitting in the window all day. Very dry.
We felt embarrass to complain again
I don't think we will be going back for a long while.
Wost customer service ever ... extra charge for having gravey on the side instead of having it on the steak.. and not even willing to pick out the unwanted veggies... doesnt care about customers need. prob the worst la porchetta restaurant in the western suburbs! RECOMMEND TO GO ELSEWHERE,, can never go wrong
