I had an excellent grocery experience here. It the dips and olives section extended for ages and they sell a great range of pre made meals from soups to pastas for those with busy lifestyles. They have a juice bar and an inhouse pastisserie where the cake selection is mouthwatering and it is really hard to decide what to get. We settled on an almond crossiant and a milo slice and both were delcious. I will be coming back here again when I'm in the area.
Great place for fresh meals and breakfast. I caught up with a few friends at LaManna Direct for some brunch and enjoyed the environment here. A little busy on the day we went but the wait time wasn't too long to be seated and meals order and the time the meals came out i thought was very reasonable. I just think given how busy they were on a Saturday, perhaps and extra staff or two would have been better.l and useful for everyone. Overall great experience and one of those places i wouldn't mind or hesitate to come back into.
I used to go to the original La Manna in Brunswick (and still do) but I usually go to LaManna Direct as its location in Essendon Fields, straight off the Tulla, is close to home. So much variety in terms of meat, fish, cheeses etc. Their fruit and veg is Australian grown and the also have a good selection of flours. In terms of other products there is not as much brand variety as other supermarkets but still enough, and do you really need 10 different brands of tomato sauce anyway? I find the price evens out at the end. Some things are more expensive, some are cheaper. What you can't put a price on is the quality and the variety, and the fact it is an absolute pleasure to shop there. Everyone is in a good mood and they pump great music. And you never have to wait long at the checkout! Plenty of free parking too.
