Actually I'm now trying to actually bring to mind any pub in Paddington that I actually liked because, once again, this place really didn't seem to do all that much for me. Okay, it isn't one of those really flashy places that you find around here, but rather it is just your stock standard old pub. Great location on Oxford street, especially of you are heading to the SFS or SCG. Good range of beer on tap, and food is ok. The thing that really shines at this pub, however, is the exemplary service. The bar girls were always willing to assist and keen to provide service (which is surprisingly rare these days - especially in paddington!!!).
The only good thin I have to say about this place is the bar staff - quite pretty and helpful. But the food is not good at all. I really felt like being naughty so I chose the flathead with chips (beer battered), and the look/taste was fresh from the packet!!! And they charged $20. I won't be going back here in a hurry.
The Light Brigade Hotel boasts what they believe is the biggest TV in Australia which makes it a great bar to watch the Rugby, the AFL or a big boxing bout.
