Lilydale Vet Centre is a small animal veterinary clinic dealing with cats and dogs. We are open 6 days a week but available for emergencies 24/7. If you have a pet emergency you can either call us on 03 9735 4211 or come to the clinic where someone from the emergency team will be ready to help 24/7.
Upon arrival, the triage nurse will assess the urgency of your pets situation by performing a preliminary examination, obtaining a basic history of the problem and recording your pet's vital signs. This way the pets which are in imminent danger can receive immediate help. It's for this reason that we do not make appointments in the Lilydale Accident & Emergency.

DO NOT GO HERE. After leaving my dog here for 6 hours I was called back as they were closing for the night and needed to transfer him to another clinic. As we arrived there was a new vet working and he took us back into the consult room and pretty much told us the person on before left absolutely no notes so he wasn’t sure what to treat, after speaking to us he said “well that changes everything” “I wish I knew earlier” and continued on like that, at this point I now owed them nearly $1000 for them to have done nothing because someone couldn’t be bothered leaving notes! WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
I have read some of these reviews and was thinking they or I must be talking about a different Vet Clinic. We have used this practice for many years through many different owners I can without reservation recommend this clinic and the current Vets and Nurses there. The vets have always been courteous, kind and caring. We have had dogs with complex problems and when considering treatment potential cost has been something they have always been willing to discuss. Their 24 hour service has been brilliant and whilst coming with a cost I would add it is not more than other 24 hour clinics which we have used previously before that service was provided locally. The number of times they gone the extra distance to look after our fur kids has been exceptional often at little cost. If not sure the Vets have, after consultation, engaged a specialist to ensure the best outcome and we have had some dogs with complex issues.
When I read few bad reviews I had to ring practice to see if had been sold. I was stunned by negative reviews. Miranda cared for our dog till his last days. And I can say I never meet more caring or compassionate people than her or Reiner. I did not find them money greedy perhaps when it comes to my dog money is not important. I no longer have dog pain of loosing my Sugar was too much however my daughter just got a puppy and although she lives in Camberwell there is no other practice she will take him.
Awful practice. They don't care about the animals, they are really rude and overall a rip off.
They say they are an emergency centre, but they are just an after hour clinic, don't be fooled.
Most of all, they are not competent enough tO run a vet clinic. Let's say they get it wrong one too many times. STAY CLEAR OF THIS VETS!!
