I have been a fan of the Lone Star *chain* since living in Sydney, but I must say I was disappointed to see this one doesn't give the bucket of peanuts in the shell to your table when you arrive. We went Saturday night and it was NOT crowded at all so we got a table for 8 no problem. Most of our group had never eaten here before but one was very excited to get the ribs for dinner. *Awesome*, *Amazing*, *So fresh* and *lovely* were just some of the words my family used to describe their meal. They were surprised (as was I ) when one said *they wouldn't have come in here normally*. They were amazed. Our waitress was lovely (though the service was a bit slow, considering there was hardly anyone in the place). I went to the lone star today for lunch and got a wrap and chip, it was amazing good for the first bite of chips then found a hair then went to the wrap and found 2 hairs in side the wrap, this disgusted me and my family an then tried to say it's mine. Myself and family will not go to this sh*t place they call a restaurant ever. I give this place -100
We had a booking 4 people for 6pm on Fathers Day to celebrate. Drinks were ordered, food orders taken, we received our drinks and then nothing. 6.30 came and went, 6.45 came and went, 7pm came and went, now at 7.15 pm noticed people who came after us received their meals and we are still waiting. So ask a passing wait staff if there are any problems and we are informed due to a "computer glitch" are order was lost and they were just placing it now. Very poor customer service to say the least. The right thing would have been to come to us and explain not wait for us to have to ask. We left, no one was interested that we were leaving so my recommendation is go to a restaurant that really appreciates your business not to one that doesn't care.
Very poor service. Went here to attend a birthday dinner, wait staff came and took the tables orders. I happened to order the fish off the menu then was told 'we don't have any fish left' I picked something else then wait staff returns stating to the table that they have no vegetables left!! What sort of restaurant sells out of vegetables. Was not compensated for a reduced meal price so i called head office to make a complaint on two occasions and they would not return my calls. I have never been back since and don't plan on returning.
I find it hard to say a bad thing about a restaurant, as long as what has been ordered comes out and the staff are relatively friendly I'm happy. Lone Star Tuggerah couldn't even do that. Our orders were taken and after half an hour of waiting in a basically empty restaurant, we had to order again. Our meals came out after another half an hour but the drinks we ordered still weren't brought to us. When I asked a staff member she was quite rude and was more than willing to place the blame of our poor service on me. All the meals were cold, a steak that was ordered well done was rare, the wrong drinks came out and once again the blame was placed on the customer. When we went up to pay the bill, the staff member who was rude to us tried to charge us for the wrong drinks which were taken back. All up it was $123.10 for three meals of poor and offensive service, cold food, wrong orders and overall the worst restaurant experience I've ever encountered.
