Sue Collins is an amazing vet, the best I've ever come across, as well as a lovely person. She has assembled a team of very good staff to assist her, including vets Julie and James and many good vet nurses. The facilities are also excellent - clean, comfortable, light and comfortable.
My experience with them was disgusting. My 21 year old cat had a seizure took him to vet who left us waiting in room for 20 minutes before looking at him. He was handled roughly without any compassion and before he was examined we were asked if we wanted him put down.. Took him to myvet strathfieldsaye where he was treated with compassion and I was treated with respect. I would not recommend McIvor rd to my worst enemy
I took my dog here after it was recommended by a friend. He received excellent treatment from a calm, confident vet who put my worries at ease. The staff were all very helpful and kind. It is not surprising it is so busy- it is obviously one of the best in Bendigo .
Yes, they are very busy indeed, I believe they were a little too busy to communicate with me and give my little dog the care she deserved.
I booked my dog in for a consultation at McIvor Rd Veterinary Centre in Bendigo, to get a cherry eye fixed whist there I decided to also have her teeth cleaned so that she would only have to endure one dose of anaesthetic. read more
They are busy because they are fantastic. I never mind waiting. Yes, I do a lot of waiting there too but it is always worth it. I agree that it can be disorganised at times and I once turned up for an appointment with Sue having driven an hour to get there only to told she wasn't even there that day. But when I really need them (when my dog has a bone stick in his throat late at night or has overdosed on my other dog's medication, such as yesterday) Sue is there and nothing is too much trouble for her.
I'm glad you had a positive experience, and eventually things were sorted out and I did receive the correct medication, and the service I should have received from the start. My only concern and comment is that, the lack of organisation and attention to detail ends up costing you more money in the long run.
Easily the busiest vet clinic in Bendigo. Sue and her team and just amazing. I have had three animals under their care and I have been astounded at the comparison between the service I have experienced here and from Melbourne.
They rate a five star from me in caring, skill and value.
Raving fan. Recommend to pedigree owners and any sort of animal lover.
A true country vet. They just know animals.
