MCCHOIR is the choir of choice to belong to in Melbourne's North. Where people find a voice!Melbourne Contemporary Choir is a fresh and exciting contemporary ensemble based in the North of Melbourne open to adults (16+) and provides a place where People Find A Voice! We rehearse Thursday evenings 7.30 - 9.45PM during school terms at 7 Birdwood Avenue, Macleod (opposite Macleod Train Station).

High quality leadership and just the best group of people - diverse age range and come from all over the place to be part of MCChoir's great sound. How fabulous to work through each of the parts of a new original song and be able to sound awesome when the parts come together on the same night. Performances have been varied and exhilarating experiences so far and our 'Joy to the World' was just the best - felt like being on stage at Maddison Square Gardens - and the audience loved it! Really looking forward to what next year brings.
I have been a part of this choir for the last term and I have been amazed with how everyone acts with each other. To say that these people are incredible would be an understatement. I appreciate the laid back nature of the choir and the opportunity to go out and have fun performing. Anyone who comes will be amazed with the quality of performance and with the joyful and fun side to practice. I strongly recommend that you give it a shot!

Thanks for your great review of MCCHOIR - it's awesome having you as part of the group. You're right, performance opportunities are a lot of fun and really pull the group together to achieve something memorable.
I Have super fun attending MCChoir and if anyone feels like they just want to try it out the people here are nice and approachable. MCChoir has a warm, fun and dedicated members who love to have a laugh as well as work hard to produce something spectacular. Everyone should, at least, give it a try, it is so fun and everyone are really nice people and want to hear the best from you.
Rehearsals are fun, new music introduced regularly and there's a good mix of genres - upbeat, soulful and more. People are friendly, lots of laughs and conversation over supper mid-rehearsal. You don't have to be able to read music - someone will usually help you navigate through in rehearsal and you can listen to tracks after practice thanks to the members-only section of the choir website.
