Avoid Melbourne Tailoring at all costs. I consulted this business for some buttons and buttonholes. I was told they could be done. I came back a few days later and was told they couldn't be done (a tailor has a buttonhole machine and often can do them by hand also. They could simply not be bothered adjusting their machine for the fabric). The price per buttonhole is $5.00 at Melbourne Tailoring, however I was treated awfully. They took my garment with contempt and ran the buttonholes up freehand using a plain machine without alerting me to what they were doing. Not only was this unsightly, messy, not a standard length or straight, the stitching was inconsistent and the force of the wrong needle and their haste put massive holes in the garment. They then proceeded to cut the buttonholes, using scissors. This is not even close to how professional buttonholes are produced and how a paying customer would expect.
