My wife Dorelle and I recently purchased a BMWX5 from your business. We had Barry looking after us as we come from Bundaberg. Barry couldn't do enough for us, offering to pick us up at the Airport. On arrival he was there to greet us and offered to make a nice cup of coffee. They brought our car up and it was everything we had seen in CarSales. Barry explained the car to us , eventhough we are still learning all its special features. If we ever had to purchase another car we would contact Metro Traders and hope Barry is still employed there. We would like to thank Metro Traders but especially Barry for his professionalism. Dorelle thought he should have a younger first name so she called him Ryan.......Ken Lane
Visited Metro Traders today,
After speaking to a salesperson on the phone about an SUV by the time we got there -an hour later the car - the car was sold. Fine, we missed out…. But I and my family are frankly quite disappointed with the service we were offered. We walked in and for a good 15 mins - the sales people on the floor could careless about our existence.
when we eventually did speak to a salesperson he came across quite blunt and abrupt. But the cherry on top of this terrible and hostile exchange of trying to buy a car - was the salesperson showed us a car and insults us by saying -this one's a bit out of your budget - at that point me and my family felt so insulted that we just left.
Honestly, I don't understand why we were treated this way … as a customer looking at buying I don't need to told what 'I can and cannot afford' by a salesperson. I left feeling insulted and frankly ruined my weekend.
The standard advice applies - If you're absolutely confident of the price and product - and don't take their word for it - then and only then go ahead. I'm sure these guys are as nice as pie when you're paying the asking price but I discovered anything else earns you generous helpings of salesmanship best summed up as dismissive catchall statements, belittlement and if you persist, actual derision - all on a solid base of good old condescending "we've been doing this for 35 years so we know best".
