Metz Cafe Bar The

In town pressed for time to catch a plane, decided on a light cold beer, with some lunch in a hurry. After visiting two popular city hotels, that were closed for lunch as it was after 3pm. We decided to try the Metz, on StJohn St. A great decision, explained our time constraint and what we wanted. We order two cold light beers, we were given a menu, the waiter suggested their popular pizza 66 Vespa, in my book a winner.
With out any delay we were indulging, the Pizza was perfect, the service was first class, we both left and were really impressed, a very unexpected pleasure. Also caught my flight, next time in Launceston the Metz it will be for dinner.

I've wined and dined here and have not been disappointed.

This is one of the best places I have been for lunch. So many different dishes that I wanted to try it was hard to choose one. I would highly recommend the chicken wrap and the pizza. Service was fantastic and eve though we didn't have a booking and they were very busy we only waited 5 minutes for them to find us something.

Absolutely fantastic! My family and I dined here on holidays and it was by far the best night of the trip - the service was great and very friendly, and we had the best feed all holiday! The dinner and dessert was fantastic, as was the wine. Great location, highly recommend it!

our valentines dinner was runied by poor service, couldnt even get a glass of wine with dinner, brought the wine list over as we were finishing mains. we wont be back
