Mick Taylor Automatic Transmissions

I had a very bad experience with them in early 2012. It took them 3 months and 3.5k to fix my car. On the rare occasions I could reach them on the phone, they gave repeated false assurances the job would be done "next week". Then at the 2.5 month mark, when I said I wanted to cancel the job, they had the gall to demand payment for work already done (i.e. dismantling the broken parts) before they would release the car. I was new to Darwin at the time, but several other local mechanics I have spoken to since then tell me they has a reputation for poor and expensive service, but gets away with it "because they can" despite being known to Consumer Affairs. Several months later, it turns out they installed the wrong part which is still causing problems now. I would rather eat razorblades than go back to them again. Be warned!
