Not sure what Avatar 22, below, is saying. Yes I can read and comprehend but ultra surprised. As Electrician WH says, I found Craig by accident many years ago. I used not to know his existance and had a Fairmont Ghia which was serviced in a petrol station at Engadine. They no longer exist. My wife was almost done in that place arguing she needed a nex exhaust fitted and stainless steel was going to be the best.................this was 2003.
I looked at the yellow pages and that is when Midas came across. Took the car there and in the end there was no need to change anything.
This is now 2022 and I have never been anywhere else. So I am ultra suprised with Avatar 22 comments, whatever his real name is.

Contrary to the last reviewer I found the staff at Midas Heathcote to be the total professionals. I was advised by Kmart Tyre and auto that I needed to have all of my brakes replaced so I decided to get another opinion. Craig and his team wasted no time and had my car up on the hoist and tyres off to discover I still had another 10,000kms still left on my brake pads and even invited me to take a look for myself! That was refreshing.
After not even charging me to take a look you have won my business. It's refreshing to meet a mechanic that is so trustworthy. Glad I took my friends advise and tried your business out : )

Very disappointed with MIDAS Car Care Center HEATHCOTE. I paid $100 to tow my car there in the morning and they identified the problem as being the fuel pump. After a few hours of leaving the car there and despite my repeated calls they kept dodging my questions about approximate costs, even though I told the Franchisee that I needed to know urgently (for various reasons, including affordability). Finally, frustrated with the lack of professional courtesy I was forced to pay another $100 to a tow truck service to take my car to another workshop, where I was treated with respect and courtesy and was told within 5 minutes the exact cost of a new fuel pump plus labour. In all fairness I am not having a go at all MIDAS centres. In fact the only other time I visited one, was the MIDAS-Car Care Center at other branch and I was pleasantly surprised with their friendly manners, prompt service, fair pricing, professionalism and courtesy. OMG the greatest mechanic ever. I can not say enough about how fantastic this store is. It is an independant franchise owned by Craig and Joanne. From the first time I took my car there for a timing belt change in 2003 I have never had an issue with the car or the staff here. being a female means some mechanics would like to take you for a ride, but this store would never think of it. They explain everything so you can understand and show you everything so you can see the work is good.. Could not speak of them more highly than this.
