Have not visited Millie’s for almost a year. I was interested what had changed. A large shaded alfresco area outside, with a large car park & new toilet block. We found the food choices and service first class, with the same efficient staff. We enjoyed our fresh muffins with a good coffee, reading the papers supplied.
"Far more than your average bakery"
Inside a large dining area with cream tiled flooring, several good sized display cabinets, full of tempting choices, a full range of cakes, sandwiches, rolls, wraps, cookies. There is a daily special available, coffee & cake, at a very good price. Also a breakfast and lunch menu is available. I enjoyed a very well prepared, cheese and ham croissants, with a good Latte. The service was good, the seats comfortable, all very relaxing as I sat inside looking out at a large new raised deck, alfresco area, raining today but nice on a fine day.
Millie's Bakery Cafe is a very popular outlet, always busy, particularly around lunch time. The tiled cream floor area, blond wooden chairs and matching tables give the place a clean tidy feel. Outside they have added on a large decked, shaded alfresco area, with sliding door access into the cafe. The range of bakery options are plentiful, from a large selection of wraps, rolls and tempting cakes, through to a very good coffee, which contribute to the buzz of the place. The service is good, when you consider how popular this Cafe is. I noted behind the counter staff numbered eight persons, full table service, including free Wifi, national and local newspapers, loyalty cards. The locals are onto this place, so if you are visiting MtBarker feel like a snack or coffee, this could well be the place for you.
Always enjoy going in there to grab a cuppa and cake with my girlfriend, The staff are nice,
Its around 17$ bucks for two people to enjoy a nice coffee and cake.
