I think it is unfair to judge this lovely restaurant one bad experience. We came herer mainly for the view, but still...wow. And the dishes started coming out (for example a $60 piece of steak drowned in gravy)! But let by gones-be by-gones and I am happy to book in again and see if we get that up to 5 stars!!
I went to this restaurant for a mid week anniversary dinner. Pity was explained and the food was just OK. They try a bit too hard, it's not quite fine dining yet they charge those prices. The view was pretty amazing and overall it's a nice restaurant. I would try an afternoon high tea instead.
The Summit has a great ambiance throughout the restaurant offering a great view of the Brisbane CBD skyline. The waiters are attentive and friendly making suggestions and offering to make changes to suit your needs if you have any allergies etc. The food is divine, some of the mains including a Duck and porcini terrine, pan fried potato gnocchi, aromatic crab cakes and a grilled Moroccan chicken (highly recommend). A little bit on the pricey side but they do have discounted 3 course meals when eating between 5pm-7pm. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend going.
