Located at the northern end of Bondi Beach just a few steps from the sand, the North Bondi RSL has breathtaking views of all the action on the beach and in the water. The Blue Wave Bisto is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
A stunning view and a vibrant atmosphere is what will greet you at North bondi RSL. We managed to head in there at dinner time mid-week and there was a healthy crowd of people enjoying themselves, the view as well as a meal and drink. We managed to grab a table that afforded us a stunning scene of North Bondi and settled in to try out their dinner. We tried the anchovies and grilled prawns for starters, which was a nice way to start the meal. This was followed up with a salmon linguini from the specials board and their beef and cheese burger. The meals were quite nice, reasonably priced and quick to come out of the kitchen. The menu is pub style food and something that you can enjoy whether you are coming down for the view or are making your way up from the beach and want a refreshing glass or two and bite to eat prior to heading home. The staff here are welcoming.
Continuing my exploration of NSW Clubs, I visited North Bondi RSL who unveiled their updated venue last July. Their major refit opens the space up rounded wave-like curves, and coastally appropriate neutral tones, that keep your eyes focused upon the all-important view. And the view is epic - even on a drizzly, grey afternoon. With the Club situated at the northern end of the famous wide strip of golden sand that is Bondi Beach, you get a panoramic landscape that also takes in the southern headland, the glittering lights of the Bondi promenade, all the way around to the grassy slopes of North Bondi.
We make our way onto the balcony and a table miraculously opens up. The crowd seems resolutely old-school Bondi. The trendy folk are busy populatingread more
North Bondi RSL might have one of the best locations in Bondi. At the Northern End of Bondi Beach, this RSL is on the second storey of the building, overlooking the iconic beach. The RSL has newly been renovated and the space is stylish and feels relaxed. The inside space is large, has a stage which can showcase bands on the weekend. There’s a bistro and long bar and small gaming area. Get here early though, because you want to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the beach. Whether you just enjoy the sunshine, watching the surfers or having a beer, this is perfect. If you live within a 7 k radius, you will need to become a member (not very expensive) but out of area, you’ll just need to sign in. It’s perfect for a Sunday afternoon drink, or any day really and you get can get lunch and dinner any day of the week. There’s also brunch options on the weekend. The food is typical pub bistro style, steaks, salads, burgers, fried seafood and the seafood platterread more
Perfect sunny spot for a drink. Try and get a seat on the balcony and you could happily spend the afternoon with drinks and people watching. Drinks are reasonably priced, the food is good pub food and not too pricey. Never ridiculously busy. $10 steak night mid week - best get there early as there can be a lineup for this.
Not sure if they do a massive amount of meat trays or I've been lucky but I seem to win it each time I go. Good spot!
