Nu-Nu Restaurant

This is a lovey restaurant on the esplanade, open, with views of the ocean. They do breakfast, lunch, tapas and dinner. We were here for dinner and ordered a range of things to share; dumplings, mixed greens, an OUTSTANDING gorgonzola infused wagyu????, kingfish sashimi and prawn schnitzels. The food was all excellent and no critiquing here! It is expensive, so go for a special occasion. The staff were efficient and friendly, but there did seem to be a noticeable feeling stress amongst them.

This restaurant was a major disappointment ! We have been there 10 years ago when it was in the middle of Williams Parade. It has since then changed location and management. We both ordered the REEF FISH, which arrived in a large plate, but the amount of food was minute, for30$ each. I dont mind spending 40 , 50 ore more Dollars on my dinner, as long as its value in return. The meal consisted of a piece of fish the size of a fish finger, 2 tiny dumplings, 3 green beans and a macadamia nut. An indescribable sauce was then poured over the lot. We tried to get hold of the management, but was very busy attending customers. I just paid and left, upset and speechless. I would have liked to ask if that dinner was an entre or a kids meal . Highly NOT recommended ! Better dining available in the centre of Palm Cove.

NuNu Restaurant offers fine dining with a beachfront location and on paper the perfect place for a dinner date.

After a delayed greeting, we were seated at the front of the restaurant. One of us enjoyed the view of the beach before it was engulfed in darkness. The view is best appreciated during daytime. Seating was too intimate with the adjacent diners. We did not enjoy being third wheels on an awkward first date!

A foodie heaven on Palm Cove beach.

Each offering is an elaborate gastronomic delight, fully explained by staff.

We enjoyed the crispy duck and pork belly in miso, and staff were friendly and helpful.

Servings are smaller but packed with flavor and very filling.

Great location under covers on a deck in a row of 4 open restaurants outside the resort.

Nu Nu has to be the most sensational restaurant I've been to. A lot of resaurants excel in food, or service, but Nu Nu does both. For the last night of our honeymoon, we treated ourselves to Nu Nu's degaustation dinner. As each course arrived, so did a passionate member of staff to explain the dish. The enthusiasm of the staff for the food they were presenting to us added greatly to the experience.



As for the food, there were so many courses I can't remember them all, but the palm heart salad was divine. Stuffed raw scallops; crab tortellini; and a delicious mussamun curry all followed.



As I said, you can get good food at a lot of places, but Nu Nu has fantastic food, with staff who care.



There is of course the fantastic view over Palm Cove if you can tear your attention away from the food.
