From acorns large oak trees grow and such is the case with The Oaks Hotel, a majestic and historic pub established in 1885. Have a beer in the public bar or head upstairs to the nineteenthirtysix bar, which draws upon Art Deco interior design styles. Serving a range of cocktails, wines and spirits, this is the more chic part of this Neutral Bay establishment. Meanwhile, there are two restaurants at which you can dine; the casual steakhouse and the more sophisticated gourmet pizza restaurant.

Iconic venue that you reach not long after you get off the harbour bridge And turn left/travel east. Charming building with a big oak in the back garden, adorned with fairy lights. Honest food and prices , I've also been functions in the private rooms upstairs, they food that was delivered to our room (for a high school reunion) was Ok. Always a buzzing crowd . Parking at Big Bear.
This place really needs a scrub down, especially the carpet corridor upstairs. The outdoor bit at the back is quite nice (maybe because it's so spacious that you don't have to bump into people unlike the inside) but the moment you go upstairs it's a nightmare as everything is so gloomy and the smell that comes from the carpet (spilt drinks and who knows what else) is pretty terrible.
Lovely venue. The best part about it is the outside area with beautiful trees all covered in fairy lights. It's beautiful during the day and night. The inside of the hotel doesn't really do anything for me so we always sit outside! Even in winter, they have heaters which still make it comfortable to be out there. The food here is also really good. Would definitely recommend it!
