Boy have times changed. Not like it used to be where one could enjoy a Movie without being disturbed by Kids that should clearly not be in there. It be OK if the Management of this Cinema managed it correctly and not allow Toddlers and Kids in what is classified as MA. When I pointed this out to the management; sounded rather irate that I even brought it to their attention and claiming it to be a Family Cinema. They totally missed the point! OK if the Movie is classed for Family > No problem. I have Not gone there since and do not intend to either. Instead I opt for the Piccadilly or the one in Mitcham. They are Great and worth the extra Money. So be warned; You may not end up enjoying the Odeon after all.
I suggest you look up the Australian classification laws. The cinema cannot refuse entry to anyone under the age of 15 if they are accompanied by an adult to an MA15+ rated film.
The management were correct and did not miss the point.
Been going to this cinema since I was a kid, great prices and atmosphere! But on our last visit the ticket/ concession staff got very surly at us when we where ordering popcorn and drinks, like it was all too hard. The Odeon looks like a great place to work, so cheer up!!
It won't stop us going back though!
