I practise as a podiatrist in East Maitland. I like to think I have probably been one of their best customers for the last fifteen years. It is possible to regularly obtain first generation models of shoes (no imperfections) from perhaps a year before that hasnt had significant changes to there general performance, for a reasonable percentage less. How much can you refine a shoe after 30 years. Believe me not possible. The best value I find is in narrower based low cost shoes, these can be lightweight. Asics, Adidas, less wide feet models are particularly charged at a lower fees. I usually stock up and the store passes a further 15 per cent or something. I havent been able to find a better supplier. Theres no better value for shoes than the bottom end for quality as cheap Asics. Two an half shoes lightweight, less support at 100, lightweight better perfomanace for some individuals, less support great for some individuals can be same cost as a 250 new, different cut, moreread more
I've known the owner Robert for years and he simply loves sport and having a good old chat about rugby and his daughter on the tv show the Block. I saw him with some young workers under his wing a few months ago trying to impart some of his years of wisdom on them and it was interesting to listen. I took note of the shoes and features he was talking about and promptly got myself a pair! I always recommend my friends brave this store as there is a wealth of knowledge and customer service here. Yes, I agree below there are a few boxes here and there in the way and it may not be the most pretty store but you can't put a price on service. Go and chat to the owner he is always up for a yarn and I am sure he can get you in the perfect pair of shoes too. I will see you soon for a new pair of shoes or rugby ball. Thanks again guys
This is a small store I remember seeing many years ago in a different suburb somewhere around Sydney (can't remember which one!) So I was glad to see that they were still open. It seems the only sports stores around are rebel and the other big chains. I was a little disappointed as I found the customer service was average at best, I had to go and actively look and ask staff for help on my first visit. The prices seems high until you ask for their best price as they will try to sell to you at full price on the wall! They did have a good sale on though which saved me fifty bucks each pair. On my second visit the staff were much more attentive as soon as I walked in and were very enthusiastic until I told them my problem. I wanted to return one of the pairs of shoes and perhaps consider purchasing a more expensive shoe that suited me but unfortunately they didn't try to up sell or offer me a solution so she put through a refund instead. To be fair the store was very busy but Iread more
I had gone off this shop over the last couple of years as it all got too much for me. Outside the store used to be atrocious (boxes everywhere!). It didn't get better as you walked in, you trip over boxes of stock where ever you went and the unhelpful staff was a deal breaker. I was pleasantly surprised to have walked past this shop last week to buy a book from Dymocks and saw a lovely bright display on the table out the front which drew my kids straight to it as it was full of summer toys and pool gadgets! I decided to pop my head in to the shop and while there was still stock everywhere and not off the floor, it was better and I was greeted by a lovely young man who was very helpful. I have decided to give these guys another chance as they are close to me and seem to have more curteous staff. As a local sport store they actually have a large range and I suppose that is why there is always stock everywhere. I am glad I gave these guys another go, my kids loved playingread more
Great local store and very helpful. In my recent visit they had a $50 Off table at the front of the store and I snagged a pair of Brooks Runners very cheap. I was unfamiliar with the young man (he must be new) but he seemed very knowledgeable and recommended the Brooks Pure shoes as they are lovely and light and had a great colour too! I will be back for sure!
