Original Victor Harbor Fish Shop

I’ve heard to much about the fish and chip shop in victor habour, good and bad. But when I bought fish and chips I was excepting a piece of fish the size of a fish not cut in half and sold as a piece of fish . The service is so bad and the owners have a lot to answer for. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. The worst fish and chip shop I’ve ever been to in this country. Shame on you . I don’t even want to give a star for this shop however I can’t post unless I put three or more stars. Again shame on you.

Over the years this shop has had several owners and that's affected how good it is. It is the only fish & chip shop on the main street you can sit and eat in easily which is a plus, but I've always found it more expensive too - especially if you do dine in. Not the cleanest either, but the staff overall have been friendly enough. It does get busy in summer and isn't really well cooled.

This is the worst fish shop I have ever been in and have traveled extensively. It is expensive for very poor quality (food). This shop need investigation by O.H.& S. Food quality investigates and every one else who has authority in this industry.
I was there on Tuesday 7.11.17. I was there with friends from Sydney, Iam ashamed to have suggested we eat there. I will never go back, if you are needing to eat there are many great and cheaper places in Victor Harbor.

This place certainly brings back memories. I remember coming down to Victor when I was much younger, ducking into this shop, grabbing minimum chips, some fish, and some dim sims, and then sitting down in the park with my friends and having a meal. Mind you, it is not strictly a take away place as they do have tables where you can sit down, and it does come a cross a little classy, but in the end it is a good old fish and chip shops that makes some pretty decent chips (and the dim sims aren’t bad either). Mind you, this place does get crowded, and I have seen the line stretch out of the door at times, but it is certainly worth the wait. I should also mention that they only do fish and chips, so no chicken unfortunately.

Myself and my family dined here yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious!! Even though they were very busy the service was great and the food came out quickly. The staff were GREAT, nothing was too much trouble and v welcoming.

We will be going back without a doubt, I have told all my friends! I can't rave about this place enough!!!
