I have had bad experienes at this nail salon, Oscar Nails, Stockland, Ballarat.
I have had my nails done for yrs, with other salons, but wanted to see if this "newish" salon was good, as it is convenient for me. However, the serrvice is very poor by the salon manager, she is so rude and argumentative, when I asked for a file instead of a shaver for my feet,as I am diabetic, she started to lecture me on how the files are bad and yelling , pretending not to understand my request, she also jumped to 2 other customers, while I sat and waited for her to continue. When I arrived home, the state of my heels were really rough, so I called and complained. She agreed to redo the pedicure, which they did,a diffrent girl did the pedi, and a really good jobread more
Just had my nails done here. The first lady who started on my nails was lovely (I assume the owner?) then she moved on to do my sisters nails and another girl took over my nails. I asked for acrylic shellac refills, when she was shaping my nails she left the acrylic SO THICK i had to ask her to please file them down more because it was a lump from a side on view. I was told this is because of the shape of my nails. I promptly told them no, I have been having my nails done for years and I know when it’s too think. They filed them down for me a little more (not to my satisfaction but I didn’t want to make a bigger deal out of it). The lady thereafter was rude, pushing and pulling my hands because I think she was annoyed at me for saying that. Finished product left me with nail polish on my skin, unsymmetrical nail shape and marked/bubbly nail polish. Safe to say I won’t be going there again. I will add photos to the gallery (short red nails) for reference.
On having my nails done (SNS) for the first time at this salon I was very disappointed with the service I received, and although the finished product looked ok, I felt as though my nails had been punished! From the moment I walked in the door till I left I felt uncomfortable, and as if everything was too much trouble. The staff were chattering loudly and laughing in their own language and it seemed as if the customers, including myself were the subjects of ridicule - one of the staff even mimicked (in a very derogatory way) the voice of one of the customers that was asking a question, when she didn’t understand her! The technician (if you could call her that) who worked on my nails was very rough and I came away with very sore fingers where she tore my skin with the file. The whole experience was very unpleasant and I will not return there!
