Got there 3 weeks ago & there's newmanagement. Not sure if they took it over & it went downhill or they bought it in disrepair, but it needs work. Tried to turn a light on & no globe. Our daughter got head lice the day after we stayed there.
Unfortunately I decided to give them a second chance as they were very polite, seemingly helpful (assured us they'd get the light fixed ASAP) and they were cheaper than anyone in town. So stayed again 2 weeks later. Light still not fixed. Opened bed covers & there was hairs and crumbs in the bed (between the sheets)?!??
Won't be back.
A big + for price, range of rooms (family 2bdr esp well set up), friendliness of staff & easy location - though not in main st of Hay it's only a 2min drive & is easily accessed if you're just driving in & out for the night. Quiet enough, no road noise.
Didn't see the newer units but they looked beautiful from outside.
Only -ve is older style boxy aircon so was a bit noisy o/nite.
