I engaged Peter from Paylec to carry out works that was quoted by him to carry out. He ask for a 50% deposit before he started, to purchase the material, so I made him the payment. Peter came across as a nice, hard working guy, BUT wasn't I mistaken. After the payment, I never heard or seen from Paylec again. He wont answer his phone or emails, and has alias addresses. To all potential customers - STAY AWAY from this guy.
It took almost two weeks to get our first appointment. The electrician said that they needed to order in some new parts and would return soon. Its been over six weeks and we tried texting/calling multiple times without a proper response. Finally we asked our estate agents to organize a new electrician to come around. The day after our estate agents confirmed that they had cancelled Paylec and organised a new electrician we finally heard back from Paylec to say they could come around straight away to finish the job. This is pure speculation but it seemed to us like perhaps Paylec were trying to go behind the estate agents back after they had already been cancelled for the job. The electrician was very nice and friendly when they did stop by but waiting so long without any proper communication doesn't feel acceptable.
