My favourite place in the Hunter!

Cuvee – the restaurant had the best food. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it. The portion size was large – and each mouthful was heaven. I had the eggs benedict with a glass of Pink Blush Sparking (Champagne Breakfasts are the best!). The salmon with the eggs benedict was very generous. I strongly recommend a visit to Peterson's on all Hunter Valley trips. The tasting room is filled with girly Petersons merchandise including bubbly bath, aprons and tshirts. They specialise in sparkling wines and they do it well! Very more-ish they have do some lovely sparkling reds and Australias only sparkling dessert wine. We were most impressed by the lady who hosted our tasting. She was clearly enjoyed her job and was passionate about wine.

This review is for the Champagne House/wine tasting section of the resturant. No visit to the Hunter Valley is complete without going to at least ONE wine tasting and if you love your sparking bubbly wines here is where to go :-) The staff here are lovely and happy to help and to answer any and all questions you may have. What I loved is the way they get you *in the mood* for a tasting thanks to the bubble machines that contantly blows bubbles around - you almost feel like you are in a bottle of champagne. You can taste wines and buy wines to take away either a single bottle, half dozen or a full case!

Recently celebrated an anniversay here and certainly couldn't complain. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. While it's not a place I would go to regularly for a meal, if you want to celebrate a special occassion or a special birthday this is a great place to go to. The food and service is more *upmarket* (classy) and be advised you do pay for it, eating here certainly isn't a cheap night out! But is nice for a change, for something special. Food was great, everything was cooked well, and we didn't have to wait too long for our meals.

Such a nice venue. We went for a wedding here and it was a very pleasant experience. Delicious food and drinks; nice rustic looking venue and decor; and nice entertainment. Would definitely recommend.
