After getting a tip to try the Pig & Whistle, we decided to go there for dinner. We happened to go on a public holiday, and were expecting it to be crazy busy. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, and we were able to get a table. The staff who tended to us were fantastic. We stopped and had a refreshing drink in the courtyard on a beautiful mild Saturday afternoon. It is comfortable and friendly, a lazy hour or two well spent. Inside is full of decor surprises and looks like it would be warm and cosy in the winter months. Give it a try if you are in the area.
We had a party of 8. Ordered after the last of us arrived (Sunday at 18:40). Some of us had to change orders because the item was no more available. Drinks were ok. Less than 10 minutes after ordering, 2 plates arrived. Wow, that was quick. Then nothing for over 20 minutes. Then another dinner arrived. So we all watched her eat. 15 minutes later the rest came. Mine was a warmed up stale bread roll with a tough as a tennis ball small piece of meat in it. The chips were soggy and not appetising. Never again, wish I had read the reviews before coming!
