The Pineapple Hotel in Kangaroo Point is so named because of the fluoro piece of fruit that graces the entrance of this contemporary establishment. There are several different bars on site such as the stylish park bar which is the ideal location for a cocktail, the lounge bar for something more casual, and the steakhouse where you can order yourself some hearty fare. With DJs entertaining revellers who travel from the city on Friday nights, you will be sure to have a memorable time.
I've been to the pineapple only for family events and whether it's been a 40th or a 21st the amazing staff have made each night a great time for everyone. Share platters are loaded with the tastiest finger food that caters to every body including any tiny tots that make it out for the night. Drinks are otherwise fantastic and in having a walk around noted that there are always great drink offers on. Highly recommend!
Well, if the Chalk Hotel is where all of the Brisbane Lions fans go before a game, this seems to be the place where all the other supporter sland up for their pre-game meal, judging by the number of people wearing Port Adelaide colours (it seems that this pub doesn't have a problem with people wearing their colours). As for meals, they are actually pretty afforable meals namely $10.00 specials, and it isn't just one dish, it is a whole menu (though these deals aren't available in the actual restaurant). They seem to have recently built a large extension on the back with is really impressive and it includes a huge screen where you can watch a sporting match while having your meal (or just a couple of drinks). The meals were actually pretty good, though the steak was a little small, but considering that I only paid $10.00 for it, I'm not complaining.
