Pink Pig Wine Bar is a popular destination in North Adelaide. Its extensive menu covers an array of international culinary traditions. From Mexican to Lebanese, Thai to American Steakhouse, from authentic Italian to traditional Australian seafood, all your needs are covered at this lively bar. Regular live music and an impressive beverage menu make this an ideal spot to socialise with friends.
The Pink Pig has been an integral part of O'Connell street for forever. Nothing lasts that long unless it's good - and it is. Character is at 100%, food quality is great (and so is the range - of course including pork, but also all manner of meat), drinks are probably a bit pricey but it is O'Connell street. Go for the experience - you won't regret it. If it's a weekend make sure you book though, because it is busy then.
On a quiet mid-week evening, I was hoping for a fairly quick dinner with friends. Unfortunately the Pink Pig had extremely slow service and we often had to go up to the bar to request drinks. I did not appreciate the bibs that diners are made to wear when ordering the ribs, for a restaurant that marks itself as premium, it is quiet a tacky procedure. The appetisers were tasty, albeit again very slow and the quantity of the main course was quite low considering the price charged. All in all I was disappointed by the service received in a restaurant that marks itself as premium, the food quality being the saving grace for three stars.
