It's a shame there isn't a lower rating than 1 star on Truelocal as my experience with Pittwater Mowers probable doesn't deserve a single star rating. I brought a mower that fundamental failed after 15 minutes, PWM have refused a repair, replacement or refund. Ridiculous.
It’s been years now David, you should probably tell the public what really happened.
You presented the mower in our shop after an hour from your purchase, with not only a badly bent blade but even the crankshaft was bent like a banana - where you had clearly mowed into a stump or large rock, etc.
We did offer you a repair at parts cost only, to which you declined.
You then took the matter to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, to which the truth was obvious and your case was thrown out.
As you know, it’s my business and it has been for over 15 years. We’ve built our business by selling only the best quality products, including the John Deere mower you purchased.
Just to clarify Clinton the case wasn't "thrown out" they found in your favour, which is a considerable difference. The reason for this was that I didn't seek an independent inspection on the mower (which I should have).
After the case I sold the mower for parts and the gentleman who purchased it. Found that the problem wasn't a "banana" crankshaft but actually a small bit of plastic in the fuel line (must probable from the production line) which he removed and the mower worked perfectly.read more
