Pordella Italian Restaurant

Waldo a review of Poor Pordella, simply not enough to rave about...at all. A great selection of BYO red the real treat of the night...along with the company of course. Service is OK - Friendly staff - could be more observant and have a set area. Management commits mortal sin of restaurants, booking almost all tables for the same time. Some entrees swiftly delivered unfortunately mains take an age to arrive. Over 1h 20m for a main to arrive?? Youngster was not impressed...although Facebook and TWITTER got a work out. Entre of garlic prawns with avocado was plentiful - full of flavour although the pastry shell was off the shelf, doughy and somewhat hard. Prawns cooked perfect with overall good flavours. . Breads OK, Sun dried tomato with mozzarella cheese is more a focaccia melt than an elegantly topped bread with mozza balls and tomato. Following a few reds the long awaited main arrive. Awsome!!! we had a really fantastic experience. The food was exceptional and great value for money, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was completely full. Its a gem of a restaurant and we will be back again and again...oh don't forget to book its very popular.

Pathetic....waitress was setting up a table when we arrived...she sighed and reluctantly seated us - appeared annoyed that we interrupted her work. splashes of spag bol on the glasses that were not used from the previous seating, table cloth was used yet the waitress had no intention of changing these until we demanded a clean table. Complained to the restaurant by email and received NO response. After the appalling service I should have known better than to expect a response..we eat out at least twice a week - they don't get any more of my cash

Disappointing. 3 separate incidents of cockroaches walking up the wall right next to our table during the night. Staff didn't really care - blamed in on the motel adjacent and said it happens all the time. Food average for the price, atmosphere cramped. Certainly not on the return list.

Fantastic food and service - Have to go there atleast once a month!
