I am impressed with the staff's friendliness and service, great food and their willingness to go out of their way to ensure a great dining experience. As I have a condition which forces me to closely watch what ingredients are in the foods I eat, it is a challenge to eat out in most restaurants. I was so impressed and grateful for King's and Raj's willingness to find dishes I could eat! Some restaurants almost roll their eyes when I explain my issue and I feel like I am in the 'too hard basket'. However, both King and Raj went out of their way to help me. That really means a lot to customers. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for their yummy Indian food, but also for the kind and attentive service.
Had a great experience here for a funtion for 40. Staff were attentive and friendly. Entree were fantastic - the tandoor Chicken had a nice smokiness to it and the samosas were tasty, even if slightly generic. Mains were the standards - Butter Chicken, Beef Vinadaloo, a daal dish, Paneer Saag, and a vege dish. All of them were well above the average, with the Vindaloo and Saag being the standouts. Worth noting that there was probably less chilli used here than elsewhere; I'd call the Vindaloo a medium normally. The saffron rice was fluffy and tasty. Good local Indian restaurant all round.
The big neon sign in the window says " Best Indian Restaurant in Australia". So we try it out. Staff seem friendly and our order has been taken. Entree's come. They bring the mains, Mango chicken for me which I didn't even swallow the first mouth full. It tasted like Kan Tong Appricot Chicken. Staff notice I am not eating and ask how it is - I tell them and they said that we should have asked for an Indian version of this dish as they cater for the Australian people - If only I knew to ask an Indian restaurant to cook me Indian food, I would have done so - Do not waste your time here. You can cook better if you buy the Patax packets from Coles or Woolies in my opinion - however the rice was nice and fluffy
