We stumbled upon this 'visual experience' shop only because a kind shop keeper a few doors up up told us it would be a shame to miss a visit here while in LaTrobe. To be honest ive never been into a shop like this and I enjoyed the whole experience. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted by a lovely young lady who offered us a piece of their home made fudge. She handed us a map of the shop and gave us instructions not to take photos. Also she asked me if i would either take off my small hand bag type back pack and put it to the front of me or leave my bag with her at the desk, (i dont think so!). This was probably because i wouldnt easily knock the millions ?? of objects that are beautifully positioned throughout. read more
I had heard mixed reports from my B&B guests and went to check it out myself. Very interesting shop, well worth taking the time to explore. Lovely antiques, and a fascinating display of puppets, theatrical masks etc. Good for the antique renovator as well with supplies of castors/replica handles etc. Unfortunately staff member had not had their happy pills the day I went, and was very abrasive, unwelcoming and rude I could see why my B&B guests had not felt comfortable there and honestly won''t return myself.
