Remedial Massage Therapy:
Deep tissue/Sports Massage:
A deeper, quicker massage that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles. Designed for consistent pain, sustained through injury or physical activity.
A light massage that is aimed at targeting the joints and muscles affected during pregnancy, e.g. lower back. Special pregnancy pillows are used so that the client may lay either on her stomach or in a side liying position.
Trigger Point Therapy:
Manual pressure applied to points located in a tight band of muscle fibres that de-activate local and referred pain. Usually combined with deep tissue massage.
A sequence of slow strokes that relax the body and de-stress the mind. Can be combined with aromatherapy. A good combination if you have never experienced massage before.
Cupping is usually combined with a deep tissue massage. The cups are suctioned onto the skin drawing toxins from the deeper layers and allowing them to be expelled through the blood stream.
Essential oils are combined to create a unique mix to suit the individuals needs and absorbed through the skin with a gentle therapeutic massage.
The massage therapist was very professional and I felt very comfortable with here. As this was my first massage Simone explained everything before she started. The out-come was fantastic and immediately I felt relief from my neck pain and constant headaches. I haven't had a headache since the initial massage I have since been back for 2 more massages and am going to have regular massages as they not only feel great but are benefitting my health. Sue
